Greetings in the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
We are one of a network of house
churches that gather in homes in and around northern
Maryland. We also have connections with other house
churches in various cities.
Our goal is relationship-based New
Testament church life, not simply attending a Sunday
meeting or a building-based program. "God does not live
in buildings made by human hands" ( Acts 7:48), but
resides in the heart and life of his people in a "new and
living way." We want to gather as a reflection of Jesus
as the head of the body. We also desire to be involved in
one another's life according to what the
Apostles wrote as doctrine and the examples of believers,
as recorded in the New Testament (including the "one
another" verses of scripture). To be built according to
the heavenly blueprint is our challenge, since the
record of church history shows that many groups of people
that probably started well became spiritual casualties by
wandering from God's plan.
We come from different religious
backgrounds, which creates rewarding diversity and
"cross-pollination," but we are also committed to working
together in a spirit of unity in our common faith. Along
with this vision of being joined and knit together is
that of all the members having the same concern for one
another, each of us using our gifts in
their many facets in order to build up the body of
Christ. We are a non-denominational church which
seeks to serve God in simplicity and avoid the traditions
of men as much as possible. Our ultimate goal is to bring
ever greater worship to the Lord, who has given us new
life.
It's been an exciting journey of faith
these last seven years, as we have
watched the Lord building his church. If you would
